Hi, I’m Rebecca Petersen — a sand sculptor with a deep love for transforming grains of sand into extraordinary, fleeting works of art. What began as a fun summer beach activity has grown into a passion that I hope will take me across the world, sculpting at festivals, events, and competitions.
For me, sand is a unique and powerful medium. Its temporary nature makes each sculpture a moment in time — beautiful, challenging, and ultimately destroyed. I’m drawn to that balance between precision and impermanence, and I find joy in sharing that experience with others.
